How high is too high? Good question. Museum height is usually between 60" - 66" to the centre of the framed piece. This is fine when hanging one larger piece, but gallery walls need some extra consideration. The centre of the total gallery wall (multiple pieces), and whatever furniture will be in front of this artwork. 10-12" above the couch, or headboard, or credenza/table; usually a good place to start. You just want to make sure people aren't going to hit your artwork when sitting down.
