Welcome to our blog.

“The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do.”
— Andy Warhol

We paid a visit to a friend yesterday whose mother passed away just a few days prior. Of course it was a sad occasion and things were sombre but we will say that her mother lived to a ripe old age and lived a full life.

Our friend was so happy to tell us more about her mother than perhaps we would have known. She did so not just through words, but through the more than 100 photos that lined the walls along her mother’s condo hallways.

No matter where you looked on the wall, there was a photo of a smiling memory.

Big hair. Weddings. Days at the beach. Uncle Jim the narcissist. Baby births. Graduations.  The childhood home.  You get the idea.

And so did we. By the end of the trip down the hallways, we felt we knew this woman better than we ever had.

And so will the generations of her family to come. As long as those photos remain, in many ways, her life will too.

That is just one of the reasons we do what we do. (Well, okay, the biggest reason we do what we do.)

A gallery wall or framed photo isn’t just a way to adorn a wall. It is an investment into the future, and, if you want it to be, a way to tell the story of the past.
